Mercedes-Benz continues to recall 5,173 G-class SUVs in the Chinese market

According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) of China, the Vietnam News Agency (AQSIQ) has announced that Mercedes-Benz (China) will withdraw from August 5. 5.173 G-class SUVs to overcome problems related to the steering system.

AQSIQ said that the G-class was produced between July 25, 2012 and January 20, Accordingly, 5.173 "terrain king" had trouble holding a pin in the joints under the steering shaft.

This error can cause the driver to lose control of the car's direction, thus potentially threatening the accident. Mercedes-Benz (China) will replace defective parts free of charge after the inspection.


Notably, this is the third recall of Mercedes-Benz in China in less than a month. Prior to this, the "big man" of the German car had to withdraw 1,479 A-Class, B-Class, CLA, GLA and 16.3011 A-Class, B-Class and CLA-Class convertible. Problems related to airbag system and brake assist.
